CAN/FlexRay tests of control unit hardware

The "CAN" or "FlexRay" test is a check against the customer specification for CAN or FlexRay. We differentiate, for example for CAN, between the "Physical Layer Test" and the "Data Link Layer".

The Physical Layer Test includes the following tests:

• CAN bus output voltage levels
• Recessive input threshold
• Dominant input threshold
• Signal rise / fall times
• Signal characteristics

The Data Link Test includes the following tests:

• CAN Protocol Conformance
• Maximum Bus Load Test
• Burst Test
• Receive Capability
